Hope all has been well with everybody. I have not done a good job doing this blog again. Please give me the 3 strike rule, so that means I have one more strike left. Been to the WPX, CPS and NJSS all in a row with the family and the pigs. We had a good time at all and the girls also got along good showing.
Ashtin ended up in the top five in the sweepstakes at all of the national shows. We have been saving our pennies so we can build a small pig barn at the house. Since we have moved down closer to the office we have to drive 15 miles one way to feed and take care of the pigs, but the girls have not complained. BUT it is a hassle.
The girls got a female Corgei and they think that with the male they already have, they are going to be rich raising puppies. We’ll see……send your orders in now.
I feel like I have ran through the summer cause I just can’t find a way to keep up. But it has been cooler than normal. We had the VIP at the research farm a couple weeks ago and it was awesome. The turnout was good and the people were great. I truly enjoy those presentations, because the people there are in “learning mode.”
Went to Mike Witte’s county fair the other day and his son Evan won with his steer. They were thrilled, so if you know them be sure to congratulate them cause they worked hard as a family to get it done this year. Hard work pays off.
We are getting ready for all the state fairs right now. I made my rounds and seen most of the cattle we sold that are going to the state fairs, and I think they look awesome. Everybody has worked hard and got them fat and hairy so all we can do now is cross our fingers and hope for the best in the show.
Headed to Springfield, MO on the 27th to do a demo at the Ozark Empire. Last time I was there the turn out was great. I think people were coming out the cracks to get in. I expect Bud will do a good job again putting this one together.
Well until next time, hope everybody has a great midwestern fair season and God Bless you all!
