Well Kyra ended up 5th overall at the Quarter Horse World Show which is pretty cool because she was the only youth that competed in that barrel race. The others were pro riders and trainers! Her horse’s name is Reba…

I’m headed to do a clinic in CA. I’ve been doing one there for over 10 years! I’ve been selling calves at home and getting other cattle out to wheat. Ky’s coming home this weekend as deer rifle season starts… We live in a 500 population town and my brother-in-law’s feed store has sold more than a semi-load of corn for deer feeders… that’s amazing to me! I guess if you can’t grow it, you buy it down here! We have been using the Purina Super Lick tubs and Wind and Rain mineral tubs for the cowherd. That’s great for me as you all know I’m gone a lot and cows stay more regulated on protein and mineral.
As for Dec., Kyra is entered in the Barrel Futurity at OKC… There will be 2000 contestants there … I’m doing some horse clipping demos there for Andis. Looking forward to judging the Kansas Beef Expo with Bob May, and also judging the AGR Show in Lincoln, Ne.
Well better wrap up! Want to wish everyone a happy holiday season and safe travels… See you at the shows! PS … Hey Mark Johnson – I was getting a little worried about your cowboys against CU last night!!
